LES BONSU

Founder / Trainer

Strength & Conditioning Coach Les Bonsu started Bonsu Elite Athletics in 2008 with just a few athletes.

At the time, Les was coaching Track & Field and Football for Beyer High School, Modesto, California.  Coach Bonsu at that time noticed the Central Valley lacked the exposure that attracted collegiate scouts.  There was talent, but very rarely would collegiate coaches visit the Central Valley. Coach Bonsu met many athletes who had dreams of continuing to play the sport they loved in college, or needed desperately a collegiate scholarship in order to afford to go to college. With that being said, Coach Bonsu transferred his passion for athletics into a state of the art facility that would transform athletes athletically, as well as change their lives dramatically by offering them an opportunity to become a collegiate recruit, and even better a professional athlete or Olympian.

“I love what I do. It doesn’t feel like a job. We have kids come in because they want to get better for their sport and prepare for the transition to college.” - Les

Coach Bonsu has trained thousands of athletes in the area and has been the go-to trainer for many of the top athletes in the Central Valley, including Kendall Wesenberg, Ja’Quan Gardner, Cade Cowell, Madilyn Nickles, Nicole Bates, DaRon Bland, Frank Ginda, Aziz Shittu, Cam Butler, to name a few.
